Refund Policy
A legal disclaimer
Effective Date: April 2025.
At BloomCare Billing, we provide compassionate, accurate insurance billing services for midwives and their clients, specializing in out-of-hospital birth claims. Our process is structured to ensure families are supported and midwives are reimbursed efficiently.
We bill midwives directly—after insurance payment has been received by the midwife. The midwife is responsible for disbursing reimbursement to their client and paying BloomCare Billing for services rendered.
1. Payment Structure
-
The insurance check is sent to the midwife, not to BloomCare Billing.
-
The midwife disburses the appropriate amount to the client.
-
BloomCare Billing invoices the midwife for services, based on a flat fee or percentage of the reimbursement, as agreed upon in advance.
2. No Refunds for Completed Services
Because services are performed fully before any payment is due, all invoiced services are non-refundable once:
-
A claim has been submitted, and
-
Insurance has issued reimbursement to the midwife.
This includes:
-
Intake, verification, and documentation review
-
Claim coding and submission
-
Insurance follow-ups and appeals, if necessary
3. Denied or Unpaid Claims
If a claim is denied or results in no reimbursement:
-
BloomCare Billing does not charge for the claim, and
-
The midwife is not invoiced
We do not collect fees for unsuccessful claims unless otherwise agreed upon in writing (e.g., submission-only service or flat-rate packages).
4. Corrections and Errors
In the rare event of an error on our part that results in a denial or loss of reimbursement:
-
We will correct the issue at no additional cost, or
-
If the issue cannot be resolved, we will not invoice for the affected claim.
5. Communication & Support
For any questions or concerns regarding an invoice or payment structure, please contact us.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this Refund Policy at any time. Any revisions will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
